For goodness sake SLOW DOWN!

So, I can't sleep...here's why:

Tonight around 11pm I sat in bed doing my sudoku while Cory got ready for bed. I heard a loud crash outside followed by screams from what sounded to be shrieking girls. I had no idea what it could have been, until I looked out my bedroom window (for those of you who don't know, I live RIGHT next to the freeway). On the opposite side was a suburban who had crashed into the vinyl fence with 4-5 high school girls wearing nothing but sweaters and skirts running around the car screaming. I called 911 and reported the accident and gave them as much info as I could. The cops and an ambulance showed up, but everything seemed to be ok from what I could see. A section of the fence was taken out, and I'm sure the suburban's front end was smashed, and only one girl got in the ambulance, but wasn't rushed. As the parents of the girls were stoping to check on them, another car was driving by and did a 360 and almost smashed into one of the dads and the ambulance!

I keep thanking my Heavenly Father that A) everything was ok and B) that it wasn't on our side of the freeway. But it easily could have been, and that scares me because all we have is a little wire fence which would do NOTHING if some maniac were to spin off and would probably hit our apartment. I guess I'm just paranoid or something but it has been one of the biggest things that has worried me since we moved in here.

So for all of you winter drivers out there: please slow down!

Haha, I just wrote about this on my blog, too!!! I'm glad you called 911!!! You are awesome. Yes, that has been my biggest fear since we moved here, too, which is why my parents keep hounding us to start looking for a new place!! It's really scary, huh!!!

I'm so glad that everything turned out fine for your family. I have no doubts that there are extra angels around you all! I just read about you going back to work... I just did the same. And I, also love it. I think I feel that Trevor understands things more, and visa versa. Plus I feel like I have some inteligence again (even if I can't spell it!)
