Back in the 'burg

Well we're home. Its a bitter sweet thing, as I sit here with warm air blowing in the window, eating Bryers ice cream and blogging. We already miss the northwest but, crazy as it sounds, Rexburg just feels like home right now.

Our last few days were fun as we tried to squeeze everything in. Each night we have stayed up way too late watching the Olympics and getting up way too early because of Isaac. And because of that, and the fact that we all had little to no naps, things didn't run as smoothly and our attitudes were....well just that.

Wednesday we headed to see our friends who just moved to Salem and hung out at the Portland Rose Gardens. It was such a gorgeous day and perfect in the shade! Isaac and Lily fell in love once again, and it was great to get to see them. We're sad that they're so far away now, but lucky that they're close to my parents so we can see them when we visit.

We had to leave that late afternoon. Isaac still did fairly well, but didn't sleep this time and was a little fidgety in such a small space. But I don't blame him, because so was I! As long as he was fed he was happy though, and thank goodness I brough a million snacks.

I like coming into the airport and looking at all the houses and feeling like everyone below are ants.

Now life is back to normal, four loads of laundry have been done, our house is a mess, and I feel like I have come back eating more calories than should be humanly possible. But it was all sooo worth it and we can't wait to go back for Christmas!
