Celebrate Youth

Tonight I dragged the boys to Celebrate Youth, a city sponsored free party basically. Its one big bash before the first day of school, and did I mention it was totally free?! Cory's boss estimated that about 4,000 people should be there, and for Rexburg thats ginormous! The real reason we went though is because I didn't want to cook and they had dinner, cotton candy, popcorn and popcicles. Yum! And yes...all free.

I don't have many pictures to prove it, but we really had a good time-walking around visiting all the booths, eating, and wishing Isaac could play with all the big kids. At one point they had this army helicopter (don't know what kind) that took off. That was pretty neat to see that HUGE monster just jet off that quickly.

Isaac enjoying his part of our dinner- an orange!

Waiting in line for the cotton candy got to be kind of long, so we substituted with a sucker. Two actually. He never gets sugar again. Ever.
P.S. I made homemade granola and granola bars tonight! Expect them on the recipe blog shortly!

How fun! I remember those good ol' parties in the Burg. Not that we went, but we saw them :)

And yeah for free....I SO would have been there too!

Wasn't that fun! RIght after we left you guys, I checked my phone messages and lo and behold my name was drawn out from the state farm insurance booth. So we got a scooter and a sock monkey. Braxton loves the sock monkey, I think the scooter will be his five year old birthday present though. We were excited anyhow. Anyway, I didn't write this to brag. Doctor Orhard's office is located behind sonic/subway in those offices. His number is 656-8883. The first visit (consultations, exams, and x-rays) is $1 on September 1st only. So call them and schedule. He's an excellent doctor. I've been going since May and it's nice to wear my hair up and not have a headache anymore or just not do anything with my hair and still get a headache by the end of the day. Any more questions, let me know. Remember this is only for labor day!!

Holy cow he's big! I just have to say that you three are such a cute family (I know a lot of people say that to other people) But when I look at pictures of you 3, not only are you cute, you just have this happiness glow!
