Yesterday was BLISSFUL. We enjoyed the day in Santa Monica and a hot 80 degrees and a little ocean too! It was SO nice to be able to spend the day together as a family! Sometimes this whole "real job" thing isn't as great as it sounds (ie: no time together!).
Walkin' around the farmers market, mostly people watching. But have you ever smelled rows of fresh tangerines? Well then my friend, you haven't lived until you have!

We stopped and watched some pigeon friends and Isaac thought they were awesome!

Our main goal of the day was the pier and the beach. And soaking up some sun, of course.

Next time we are TOTALLY renting these bikes and going on a
ride around the beach! How peaceful would that be?!

This kid wouldn't stay on dry land for more then a few minutes. He loved the water, even though it was cold!

The best part though was getting to spen all day with him. No work, no homework (on my part).
Just sand, waves, and l-o-v-e.

This was during prime nap time. No tantrums today. All smiles!

Sick. Everything he would eat was covered in sand. He would stick it
IN TO the sand, pull it out and eat it.
Gross. We've already had one firm diaper, and I'm sure there are more to come.
(Notice he's sticking out his tongue. Don't let that fool you.)
Our attempt at a family portrait.

Basking in the lovely sunshine, watching my boys, and listening to the waves.
Life is good.
Sandy kisses (I still have sand in my teeth)

Thank goodness for modern technology!
(I consider this very technological) Cleaning most of the sand off.
I just like his chubby thighs and fat belly.
Goodbye beach. We will be back to see you.
SOON.

You are so Lucky!! I have forgotten what it would be like to have 80 degree weather in January! What a pretty place too-I'm glad you guys got to take a break and soak in the sun! For now we will all just live through you, so keep the good times coming!
I Know, i laughed so hard at your text, cause in a way i was 'there' should have wrote you a love note and sent it to you in a bottle.
