Yesterday Cory and I celebrated Valentines day a little early, because we're watching our friends kids today so they can spend all day lovin' on each other- childless!
We have a tradition that on this day of love we make each others gifts rather than buy them. This year I was just plain stumped on what to make him and the creative juices were not flowin'. I found this place in town called Color Me Mine where you can paint pottery and it was perfect because I didn't have to resort to some silly, last minute picture frame, and still get credit for making something masterful.
The evening started off with a much needed haircut and alone time. I got home and the sweetheart surprised me with this LOVELY orchid! I just love orchids and it's added a touch of spring in this rainy, gloomy weather we've been having.

very fun. Maybe dad and I will have to try that for a date sometime:) Happy Valentine's day to you too!
We have a Color Me Mine down in Provo and every time I pass it, I keep thinking how fun it would be to take Madalyn - now you've really inspired me! And I'm super impressed with Cory's artistic skills - cute serving dish!

Way to be creative. Jeff would never go do that with me. I can tell you guys have so much fun together.
Looks like fun! I dont think I could get Jeff to do something like that. And even if I did, he wouldn't have done that great of a job.
