Toward the end of this week my mom came in for a little visit! We are always busy busy and spoiled like no other. And we love it!
It was a PERFECT day when she flew in, so we headed off to our favorite sunny place- Santa Monica pier! (That place will always be dear to our hearts) My brother who is on spring break got to come too, and we all soaked up the sun and started the weekend off great.
We built sand castles...
buried Isaac...

and laughed a lot!

This picture has a story all its own. Being as independant as this little guy is, he went exploring by himself
(within a certain mommy distance, of course). He stumbled upon these college girls on spring break and made
GREAT friends with them. No, their chest area does not look like that realistically. They were just SO revealing.
No wonder Isaac liked them. (Man, we're in trouble when this kid gets older!!) Too bad I couldn't edit like this in real life! They were nice to him, I'll give them that.

While she was here we ate this yummy shrimp salad nearly every day for lunch. It was so so yummy I just had to take a picture!

My mom followed Isaac around and was his personal photographer the entire time she was here. I'm not kidding when I say I have at least 50 more pictures that she took of him. Ya think she missed him?!

While she was here we also got crafty! I made a couple hooded towels that are SO SO easy and super cute. Go
here for the tutorial.

We also made "I spy" bags which weren't as easy as they looked. I'm no expert sewer so mine turned out kinda pathetic, but Isaac likes it. Wanna make one too? Go
here.
But I'm warning you, vinyl and fleece together aren't the easiest to sew...
I have a million friends having babies so I decided to gear up and start making these nursing covers. Easy cheesy. And cute! Tutorial
here.
After looking at these pictures I feel like we did so much more. But we soaked up the time we had with her and enjoyed every minute of it and thats all that matters!

Thanks for the heads up about the "i spy" bags. I was wondering how that would be (the vinyl/fleece)- now I know to brace myself for it and have a lot of patience!!!

You are so dang cute! Your hair is getting SO long! And it's DARK! I just miss you so much... I wish you were here to make my invitations for me Ü Well I would ask nicely AND probably make you some really yummy cupcakes!

Loooove all the fun pictures. Looks like you're having a blast! I just read your last post too, and I know what you mean about the loooong hours for the husby's intern - Jason just finished his. He was hardly here! That was definitely nice getting paid hourly though, huh! Keep posting all your adorable pics!
Also, when you use leelou blogs, are you able to use a big picture for a header? Or just a title? I'm thinking of switching formats, but I want to keep our header. =) Let me know!
peachyqueen84@yahoo.com or just on my blog!
YES! Let's live by eachother but let's do it in sunny California!! Your life looks so fun, warm and adventurous there! My mom used to do the ice cube tray thing for us, thanks for reminding me, I'm definitely going to do that next time! (save on ziplocs)
