Come and gone...

So I feel like I've bombarded this blog lately with just pictures, pictures, pictures. But honestly, how could I not post a just a smidge from our WA/FL vacation?!

We truly had the time of our lives and it was worth every penny we spent! I was told by a friend a few years ago that if you want to put a guarantee on your marriage, make sure you take a couple vacations a year with just the two of you. Probably the truest and best advice I've ever recieved!

Getting to WA was just short of a nightmare, as no one out of the 3 of us got much sleep the night before, and a 12 hour drive turned into 14.5 hrs. Luckily Isaac is still alive...

We spent a few days with my parents and were able to see a few friends. My mom and "grandma Jackie" threw a baby shower for me and it was fun to see even more people! That night Cory and I left on the red eye, and I'll admit I cried to my mom about how much I would miss that silly boy of ours.

{Us in Houston at 7am, running on NO sleep yet, but happy to be on our way!}

When we finally made it to Florida, we were both exhausted so we took a much needed LOOOONNNG nap. We kept it pretty simple that night, renting a movie and getting pizza. But it was perfect!

The next morning was golfing at OCN and it turned out to be such a nice day! Hot and muggy, but nice. I mostly did this:

While Cory did this:
And I even tried a few swings, only to have the ball end up in the water. But I tried, right?

In the evening we went to the Arabian Nights dinner show which was pretty fun. I think I'd recommend trying a different show next time, but the experience was fun nonetheless!

{Truly one of my favorite pictures of Cory... so glad he's mine!}

Day 3 (probably my favorite day): The Orlando Temple on another perfect day. I'll let the picture do the explaining:

{Gorgeous, huh?}

That night was downtown Disney. We didn't hit up Disney World since Cory didn't want to be a lone rider, so we opted for the cheaper and funner version instead. Another hot and humid night, but we just enjoyed the time to ourselves being childless and acting like (brand)newlyweds.

{Ghirardelli Icecream/chocolate shop. Can you say homemade waffle cone with Strawberry cheesecake and chococlate chip cookie dough? YUM!}

{Mostly taken for Isaac, and so you can see my huge protruding belly. Yikes!}

Our trip wouldn't be complete without a trip to the beach, and Cocoa beach it was. Hot and humid? Yes! Gorgeous weather? Yes! Perfect day with my honey? YES!

{Warm water, fresh ocean breeze, and wonderful company. Could it get any better?}

Since it was our last night there, we hit up M&M's world to get some gifts for my family and topped our stay off with a trip to The Melting Pot.

{Who knew candy could be so beautiful? Well, I guess I already knew that}

{Yes, I know you wish you were there. And it WAS as good as it looks. No, even better!}

The waiter asked if we wanted the small portion (small chocolate, one plate of treats) or the large (LOTS of chocolate and TWO plates of heaven). I laughed and pointed to my belly and said "do you even have to ask a pregnant woman twice?!"

{And I ate the whole thing...}

And now we are home. Still enjoying eachother, and loving our baby up.
Our lives just get better and better

{On the car ride home with nothing better to do...}
