Well I made it! Surgery wasn't as bad as I thought, and neither is the pain afterward. Don't get me wrong...I feel like I have the worst side ache ever, but I'm up and moving.
This morning they prepped me at 8, and I was in the O.R. just before 9. I was so tired anyway, that I was out like a light as soon as they gave me the gas! The next thing I know I'm being wheeled back into my room and completly exhausted. I slept on and off for the next few hours, and finally got something to eat. I really wanted to go home, but had to be up and moving before I went. It took me 4 tries and an hour to finally get out of bed and to the bathroom. I guess Cory talked to the doctor and he said that my gallstones were only the size of a grain of sand! All that pain from one tiny thing. Cory was a trooper and was so sweet to do whatever I needed to feel better. I'm so glad he was there; he gives me such strength and comfort!
Its good to be home finally. The vicodin helps, but makes me more nauseous so I don't take it. We'll see how tonight goes I guess. Its hard not being able to hold Isaac, but its fun to watch him with Nana. She had lots of fun with him today and even got pictures of him smiling (which I can NEVER do!)
