Tonight I sat preparing myself for this upcoming and glorious birth of our little girl by reading this book.
I love how it places such emphasis on the spirituality of birth, and the divine roll we as women have as mothers.
But most of all, I love when the author says "is there any happiness that can be compared with that of a woman and her small babies? Is there any love so unselfish and so inspiring as the love of a mother for her child?"

It made me stop and think that even though there are messes and tears, tantrums and sleepless nights, the greatest joy that I have in my life is because of my babies.
That I gain peace knowing that it is embeded in me to nurture and create with God these wonderful children.
That I have the awesome responsibility to share with them the happiness of life and the goodness of the world.
How blessed we are to be mothers.

Those are my thoughts exactly! What a great joy we have in our lives to be able to be blessed with motherhood. It is so sweet and precious. That sounds like a really good book. I'll have to read it sometime!
Amen!
I can't wait....
Beautiful. I agree. That is a great perspective.
Thanks for the thoughts. Sometimes amidst all the tantrums, crying and general craziness, it's easy to forget how blessed we are just to be moms. Thanks for the reminder.
Such a sweet post- makes me so excited!
