Well, that was fun

About a month ago I had this crazy idea that I wanted to drive to Utah to go visit family, and somehow lured my friend into coming along with me. The even crazier part? Taking four kids ages two and under. Awesome. Ready or not!

So we drove....

and drove.....
and drove. And 10 1/2 hours later (which without kids should take 8) we made it. At one point we had 3 of the 4 kids screaming. To say we were excited to be there would be a definite understatement! I will give them credit though- all things considered they were troopers. And we only busted out two movies!

The rest of the week was spend moving from house to house, creating chaos each place we stayed. It was so great to see family, but honestly, I think next time we'll stay put in ONE place.

We did get to spend time with cousins....

and grandparents.....

and...ice cream? Ok, so this was just too delicious to not include. (I did eat the whole thing, in case you wondered)

Everything was going fine and dandy, and we were readying to head home and what would you know? Snow storms at the beginning of May. Figuring we were already crazy enough to travel with four small children, we opted not to add snowpacked roads and a few extra hours of driving home to that list of insanities and instead stayed for an extra couple of days.

And the drive home was actually pleasant. Until a speeding ticket came along, but you can ask Meggin about that one :)

Now after two trips this month, we are tired.
And staying home for a long, long time!!
(Can you believe those rolls?!)

You are so brave!! I've been wanting to take the trek to Utah by myself with the kids to go see some of my friends but I get too scared! And it's only 3-4 hours! Looks like it was so much fun though!
