If you were a berry, I'd pick you!

I am soooooo not ready for summer to be over yet. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the fall as much as the next person, but fall lasts only 3 weeks (so I hear) in these parts and then that means snow and frankly I could just do without all that white stuff! So its been my goal to soak up every second of the last few bits of summer we can!

This morning we headed out to a u-pick farm called Berry Patch Farms. We set out to grab some strawberries and possibly some raspberries and were not disappointed! I'd be lying if I said that the country atmosphere made me miss my little Idaho town :(

We were greeted by this 'little' guy when we showed up. Check out those cheeks!!

On the tractor ride out to the strawberry fields. And trying on a new hat :)

Picking (and possibly eating) the raspberries. He was a great berry hunter!

Caught this little miss getting into some already picked berries. She just chilled in between the rows while we picked, and ate anything she could find. What a trooper!

Cory really liked picking strawberries for some reason, and it was all I could do to pull him away for lunch! (He'd make us some sweet money if he took a job there! Haha)

"Its too bright mom! Do you really have to take a picture?!"

They had about 8 of these cute white rockers sitting on the porch around the barn/store. And so were these little rosy cheeked kids sitting in them!

After buying some of the most delicious peaches I've EVER tasted, and some ears of corn here is our loot.

I've never made jam before and that was one motivating factor to go pick up some fresh fruit today. It turned out pretty well and I'm super happy! Cory and I pumped out almost a dozen jars of freezer jam. Thanks babe for your help!

Just pulled a fresh loaf of homemade bread out of the oven and am going to go reap the fruits of our harvest!

Mmm, that sounds so delicious. We are still enjoying our freezer jam and raspberry jam from last summer. It's one of my favorite things! Can't believe how big your kids are getting!! It's amazing how just a few months changes so much!!
