Round two to Utah...we took the trip with our friend
Debra. When she was baptized back in March, we had casually mentioned that we should take a trip out to see SLC and all the other little touristy sights. Plane tickets were ridiculously low and it was perfect timing. Unfortunately, Cory had to stay home and work, and
I we seriously missed him!

{On the plane. These kids were old pros}

We met up at BYU with the Sister missionary who helped teach Debra while she was serving in CO. It was so great to see her again! To entertain the kids we visited the Bean Museum, walked around and had lunch on campus, and got ice cream at the BYU creamery.

Temple Square...this is pretty much the only picture I got of the day which I am sorta bummed about. Debra LOVED it, and I could tell she was soaking it all in. It was such a great experience being there with her and sharing more of the gospel and history of the church with her.

{Jumping at Grandma Birdie's}
We also visited LOTS of people! We were lucky enough to have Grandma Jan there visiting Aunt Haylee so we got a two for one! There was lots of family to see too- all the aunts, uncles and cousins on my side of the family, and a trip up to Tremonton to see Cory's family.

The big reason for the trip- attending General Conference! Debra was lucky enough (thanks to a great Bishop!) to be able to go to three sessions. I got to go to one of them with her, and we had
a-w-e-s-o-m-e seats. There is a special spirit when you actually get to attend conference, and an even greater one when you're with a new member friend!

Meeting up with
Sister Sorensen Steffanie. (Took me awhile to get used to calling her by her real name!)

{Mt. Timpanogas Temple}
On our last full day there we decided to go on a temple hunt. I figured since we were in Utah, we might as well see a few temples up close and personal since there are so many! (Debra was so amazed at how many churches and temples were all around. At one point I think she counted 5 in one neighborhood) We only made it to three that day, but counting the Salt Lake one she saw four while we were there.

{Playing at the Draper temple.}

Touring the Conference Center...a sight to behold! That building is so amazing!

These kids were absolutely troopers. We stayed down in Provo at my Aunts house, drove up to SLC at least once a day, over to Heber City, up to Tremonton, and everywhere in between. We put
700 miles on our rental car!! Sheesh! They really got sick of it, but all things considered did so so well. I sure love them!

The canyons were GORGEOUS! Isaac was a stinker and didn't want to take hardly any pictures (hence all the grumpy/surprised faces in them), but Audrey was a little ham.

Debra had seen a diner on the Food Network and wanted to try it out. Not too shabby!

{In our "Keep Calm and Eat a Cupcake" t-shirts that we bought each other unknowingly!}
My awesome Aunt Gwen! We had the privilege of staying at her house with my cousin Tara. They are pretty much some of the coolest people I know. Though we didn't get to see a lot of them, we had a blast!
