Happy 4th!

Our celebrations this year were much the same as last year, and we still loved every minute of it! Our ward breakfast was actually the Saturday before, but we'll lump that in with the rest of it.

And they're off! Annual bike parades are always so fun, and this year didn't disappoint. Both of the kids were super excited to decorate their bikes, and Isaac was determined to "win the race". He was a good sport when we told him that you just ride around in circles, and show off your awesome decorations!

Last minute participant, since someone was too nervous to ride by herself :)

We actually did a bike ride that morning as a family just around town, and Isaac discovered his new love of riding. I think its going to be something we do A LOT this summer! By the time we were back home (2 1/2 hours later!) we needed to cool off. 3 popsicles each and a dip in the pool was just what we needed! (Though the water temperature was WAY to warm for my liking)

I missed pictures of this, but we had some friends over for a bbq and let the kids run around wild. The Bertucci's made cannolis and left us with so much extra that I had to eat them for lunch the next two days!

And just when you think we would slow down we jumped on over to the "Let Freedom Sing" festival. Well, we more like crawled since it was so busy and we sat in line to get in for a good 30 minutes. But I think it was worth it? Maybe? Like I said, it was super crowded this year but they still had a few booths with games, lots of free prizes, bouncy houses and some great music!

For the fireworks we sat where we did last year, thinking it would be fairly uncrowded like our previous experience. Not so! Luckily we had saved our spot, and had a great view! People in the neighborhood behind us were setting of their own (illegal) fireworks too, so we had double the show!

We were down in the same place we were last year, too. How did we not see each other?! It was WAY more crowded this year!
